SSC Jr. Engineer Recruitment 2014- Scheme of Examination & Selection Process

Staff selection commission has decided that the selection of junior engineer posts vacant under the SSC JE Recruitment 2014, the examination date is yet to announced by SSC Officials however to let applicants start there preparation the commission has shared the Scheme of Examination, pattern & Syllabus as stated below-

The SSC JE Recruitment selection process will follow following stages of examination-

a)      SSC JE Written Test – 500 Marks
b)      SSC JE Interview- 100 Marks

SSC Jr. Engineer Exam Question Paper Pattern for 2014 Session-

Staff Selection Commission will commence this test in two different papers in that the Paper I is objective type whereas the paper II is conventional type. Both papers will be conducted on same date in morning and evening shift.

SSC Junior Engineer Exam Syllabus- Section Wise Explained

SSC JE Papers Sections Total Marks Time Alloted
SSC JE Paper – 1 a)      GI & Reasoning
b)      GA (General Awareness & Current Affairs)
c)       General Engineering (GE)- (Civil or Electrical or Mechanical)*The section C will be divided into 3 parts out of that you have to answer only one that comes under your specialization & domain
100*Negative marking of 0.25 Marks on each wrong attempt
Morning Meeting- Time Allotted 2 Hours
Paper II- Descriptive Conventional Type Part A- General Civil Engineering
Part B- General Electrical Engineering
Part C- General Mechanical Engineering
300 Evening Meeting paper2 Hours
Note: In SSC JE Paper 1 & paper II candidates the General Engineering Section is contains optional part i.e. Part A or B or C. in a clear explanation I must say those who are appearing for Junior Engineer Civil & JE Quality Surveying & Control will have to answer only Part A of General Engineering section, Part B is supposed to answer by those who have applied for junior Engineer- Electrical and the rest part i.e. Part III will be for JE Mechanical applicants.
