Candidates who are studying in 10th (Class-X) can appear for this national level scholarship exam. Below we are providing you a detailed informative description containing the eligibility aspects and schedule of the NTSE Scholarship exam 2013-2014 with how to apply options.
NTSE 2014 Exam Eligibility Details:
Any Indian candidate appearing in Class X can apply for the NTSE 2014 exam. so any student studying in India in any recognized board of education or in abroad can apply for the NTSE 2014.
Candidates studying outside of India are directly eligible for the Stage II (National Level NTSE) Exam where as the students from India will have to qualify in Stage I (State Level NTSE) before appearing in National Level stage II exam.
NTSE 2014 Exam Dates and Schedule:
NTSE usually takes at-least an year in processing the activities to exam in that they starts from the official notice, collects application and then decides the venue etc to conduct the exam as its a national level examination so the whole process consumes a big span of time so the exam going to be held in June/July of 2014.The final exam will be conducted after the result of state level NTSE that would be declared in first week of July 2014.
Important Dates to Remember:
NTSE 2014 Stage I (State Level) Dates:
Last Date of Registration: 31 August 2013
State Level NTSE 2014 Exam Date: Sunday 17 November 2014 (for Nagaland, Mizoram, Andaman & Nicobar and Meghalaya it is Saturday 16 November 2013)
State Level NTSE 2014 Result Announcement: The result will be declared by state officials so to know exact details please contact your State Liaison Officer. however as per the previous data the result usually declared between of January and February 2013.
NTSE 2014 Stage II (National level ) Dates:
National level NTSE 2014 Exam date: 11.May.2014 (Sunday)
Announcement of result of NTSE 2014 Stage II (National Level) will be in the end of June or in starting of July.
For Indian Students appearing Class-X from Abroad:
Stage-II (i.e.National level NTSE) last date of registration: 31st March, 2014..
How to Get Application Form & Admit Card:
After downloading you need to fill this form so please make sure to read the instructions and rules stated on form before filling it. For any confusion about the Stage I NTSE you are required to contact your NTSE State Liaison Officer.
Application Fee to Apply for State Level NTSE 2014:
Except few states there is no fee to apply for NTSE Exam 2014 however some states like Maharashtra charges upto INR 120 that you would have to pay through Demand Draft. to know about the fee applicable in your state click on this link.

After filling the form you are required to signed it by your school principle/headmaster or headmistress with school stamp/seal. after that you can send your form along with the DD of fee of application if applicable to your state liaison officer before the last date.
Ones the form is submitted you would be informed about the examination center and date of written examination for NTSE Stage I 2014.
As told above students studying abroad will be eligible for direct Stage II (National Level) examination. so your application procedure will not be processed with any state liaison officer. you are eligible to apply directly in National Level NTSE 2014
